It all started when two friends decided to clean houses together for a summer. Not wanting to expose themselves or their clients to toxins found in most commercialized cleaners, they decided to go green but quickly discovered that even “green” cleaning products were infiltrated with toxic ingredients. Determined to clean with a truly green cleaner, Diana (City Maid Green Owner) studied soap making. After research and experimenting with recipes, the City Maid Green brand was born.
The founders couldn’t keep up with the demand of clients and hired additional maids. The cleaning products also became popular when a local market caught wind of City Maid Green and asked to sell their cleaners. After just a few short weeks, the cleaners sold out. Other local markets wanted in on their one of a kind green cleaning products and the City Maid Green brand began selling throughout Orlando.
“It’s like a spa day for your house,” said a City Maid Green house cleaning customer. Word began to spread quickly and production for our green house cleaning service as well as green cleaning products outgrew Diana’s home office. In June 2012, City Maid Green opened its very own small (400 sq ft!) retail store, production facility and office in College Park.
After only two years, City Maid Green outgrew it’s facility and opened a much larger location up the street in the heart of College Park. City Maid Green reached a milestone having cleaned 1,000 homes with truly organic house cleaning. They also added weekend soap making classes to their green community services.
City Maid Green got a makeover with new product packaging, a more robust and interactive online store, along with new added products to its green cleaning family. City Maid Green also spread the green love to other cities by launching its Maid Affiliate program. This program enables small to medium sized maid companies throughout Florida and the U.S. to grow by
